I can’t remember what I did to resolve it or if it was the previous Firestick issue that was causing it but HDMI conflicts cause all kinds of weird sh*t to happen. If you have decided to go the admirable route of creating your own media server with your PC as the NAS, instead of buying a home theater PC, then this section is for you. Somehow the video the Lumagen was outputting was looping the screensaver but the Zidoo was working fine. I thought it had frozen or the remote wasn’t working but then when I realised you could hear the button clicks and the menus moving. The Z1000 Pro going into the Lumagen on the other hand went crazy and I could see the screen including the screensaver changing but it just got stuck on it and wouldn’t change. I have since tried it without now it’s only plugged into the TV and it seems to work fine! HDMI causes all kinds of weird issues you don’t expect I know with my Zidoo’s the Z9S I had to use an HDMI CEC-less adapter when I had an AVR otherwise it didn’t work without locking up and causing everything else to not work. Now plugged into different displays they work fine but for whatever reason going into the same one their HDMI signals kill each other. Turns out the one which is in my equipment rack and I had plugged into the TV for testing where the other one is, were causing each other to crash and taking out the Lumagen with them! I’ve had issues with what I thought was my Firestick’s imploding where they would constantly freeze up, restart and become unresponsive to the remote and cause my Lumagen EDID to get stuck. Zap’s well it seems some have been scared of late it seems.

īut can be added but very slowly starting from scratch via another source. It would be awkward if the Zidoo lost ALL internet access as grabbing movie / tv poster art & naming etc would be a major headache as you would imagine. You can back up your posters before hand & save if req like many do. Time clock will be lost but that can easily be rectified. Other small items may go a miss also plus Maybe the odd poster or backdrop If you lost it now.īut adding poster wall inf you can obtain via grabbing your own posters elsewhere like i have in circumstances if they go a miss Or Zidoo went down for some reason. but you will loose some if not all H.T.v4 functions / inf like Director / cast & photos editing etc The Zidoo can function & playback movies …. If you cut off wi fi / your Network etc for example….
